Rice's New Staff Satisfaction and Climate Survey

At Rice, we are committed to excellence in all we do, including how we treat our employees and the people who make Rice the special place it is today.

The work environment at Rice is important to us, and we want our employees to be excited about their jobs and feel a sense of pride in what they do. We are excited to announce and launch the Perch Perspective, Rice's first staff employee climate and satisfaction survey.

Administered by NORC at the University of Chicago, the Perch Perspective is a comprehensive inquiry to understand what staff like about Rice and how we can enhance your working experiences. Owls often perch high above our campus, and this survey signifies gathering the viewpoints of our campus community at a high vantage point.

The Perch Perspective, which will launch on Monday, February 5, will cover various topics, including feedback on overall engagement, work experience, learning and development, benefits and pay, leadership and supervisor effectiveness, diversity, equity, inclusion, and other topics. The survey is designed to be anonymous to encourage open and honest feedback, and your response will be confidential.
