The university offers two dental plans, which Aetna administers.

The following plan information applies to the current dental insurance plans:

Aetna Dental PPO

No primary care dentist is required. No network. National.

Members can see any dentist, but seeing a network dentist saves money.

Primary care dentist required. Local, in-network only.

No dental card? No problem! Aetna no longer prints dental ID cards, but dental care is still available. You can read this brochure to see how.

Who can I cover in the dental plan?

The plan covers employees and their covered spouse/domestic partner and child dependents up to age 26.

Where can I find out about covered procedures and patient charges for each dental plan?

Dental members may contact Aetna Dental Concierge at 1-800-905-7670. You can also visit the Aetna website, which provides access to dental provider searches where members can check eligibility, review claims, request ID cards, and more.

Can I use my HSA/HCFSA to pay for dental expenses?

Yes, you can use your savings card for any qualified out-of-pocket expenses.
