Dear Rice Colleagues,
As we continue to shape our strategic plan to meet our expectations of excellence, we are transforming and expanding our ideas of what our university will become through goal-setting and staff development. To achieve our ambitious goals for the future, we must continue to provide opportunities for our employees to grow and develop their skills.
With this vision in mind, we recently implemented a performance management process for our leadership teams. This process allowed us to set goals that align with our mission, vision, and values.
We are broadening this effort to include a standardized performance management program for the rest of our staff. The new program will help us establish a universitywide performance appraisal process and implement tools that will support the development of all of our staff.
Human Resources will implement the program in July, which is the beginning of our 2024 fiscal year. The department will communicate directly with you about the program in the coming months.
Your role at Rice is critically important to the success of the university. Without your commitment to excellence and dedication to our mission, Rice would not be what it is today.
